President Reuven Rivlin said on Thursday "We must take care of the elderly In the State of Israel, so that they grow old with dignity and well-being"
Speaking at an event honoring those who have reached the age of 100, Rivlin added, "This is a duty that has great merit. Asociety that does not care for its elderly is not worthy of being called a society and our old people are not helpless. We have seen them, they are full of vitality, and at the same time our concern for society must be to those who founded our society, who created it. You are concerned about us, you have been concerned about our future and the country for decades. Now it is our turn to look after you."
