Nabil Abu-Rudeina, a spokesman for Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas, has slammed the law passed by the Knesset Monday night, which will deduct salaries paid by the PA to terrorists and their families from funds Israel transfers to the PA.
Abu-Rudeina said, "Reducing the salaries of the prisoners and the families of the martyrs is a red line, a declaration of war against the Palestinian people, which undermines the basis of the relationship between the PA and Israel." Following the decision, Israel will freeze more than 1.2 billion shekels that would have gone to the PA this year.
