Deputy Health Minister Yaakov Litzman and senior staff visited, Tuesday, Shmuel Harofeh Hospital where a nurse was stabbed by a patient last night and Assaf Harofeh Hospital where she is recovering from her wounds.
After visiting the nurse, Litzman said, "I came to tell them that violence in the health system is a serious disease that we will cure and defeat in every way." He added, "A medical team cannot work in a violent environment and this is harmful to patients. We do not intend to treat it as business as usual and we must ensure that there is personal security for the medical staff."
