Parents complained on Sunday, after dozens of Jerusalem summer kindergardens saw the children get only slices of bread, hummus and jam - no vegetables or fruit. Some of the gardens had only four individual cheese cups, two peppers, one carrot, two cans of tuna and two boxes of hummus for more than 20 students.
The response of the Jerusalem Municipality: Following the number of requests we received from parents, we will increase, starting tomorrow, the quantities of food provided in frameworks where complaints were received about the lack of food on the first day of summer camp."
