The Knesset's Constitution, Law and Justice Committee will discuss the "Legal Counsel" bill today, to prepare it for a second and third reading.

The government bill, as well as that of MK Amir Ohana (Likud) on the same subject, were intended to change the manner in which legal advisers are chosen for government ministries - from a tender system to selection by the minister in charge of the ministry itself, in accordance with recommendations of a locating committee.
