Culture and Sport Minister Miri Regev (Likud) fired back after incoming Jewish Agency Chairman MK Isaac Herzog alleged that the current government had mishandled relations with diaspora Jewry.

"Herzog has not yet taken up his post and is already handing out grades to cabinet ministers in their attitude toward Diaspora Jewry. His party chairman was the one who claimed that "the Left forgot what it means to be Jews," said Regev, invoking Avi Gabbay's controversial statements earlier this year.
