The National Union faction released a statement praising the Tel Aviv judge who allowed a segregated Chabad event to go forward despite a decision by Mayor Ron Huldai to outlaw it. "We are happy that the healthy instinct overpowered Huldai's extremism," said the National Union in a statement.
"It is sad that in order to respect the Jewish tradition and the will of the majority we need to go all the way to court."
