Six firefighters and water supply vehicles are subduing a fire in the Ramat Beit Shemesh area.
The forces are working to stop the flames from leaping into the homes of the residents and hurting them.
Firefighting planes were called in to help from the air.
The area is heavy with smoke. Residents living nearby are asked to close windows and shutters and stay away from the fire.
