The State Prosecutor recently announced that that he intends to issue a new directive, under which suspects will be informed immediately via registered mail when the district attorney's office decides to close a case against them, regardless of the process of transferring the file to the police.
The procedure was recommended by Ombudsman for State Representations in the Courts David Rosen, against the backdrop of notice being given only after more than two months and in a particular case only a year and a half after the decision was made.
