Prior to Sunday's meeting of the Diplomatic-Security Cabinet on the subject of humanitarian steps for Gaza, the parents of soldier Hadar Goldin, whose body is held by Hamas, demanded that ministers make a clear decision that there will be no arrangements and that humanitarian projects in Gaza will not be promoted without the return of his body, the body of soldier Oron Shaul and as many as three living Israelis.
The parents told the ministers that Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu had made a promise to that effect and now they expected him to meet this commitment. They said, "Netanyahu is the one who invented the statement, 'If they give, they'll receive - if they don't give, they won't receive,' and that is the message that must come out today from the cabinet meeting. The government of Israel and its leader have the responsibility to make every humanitarian move conditional and to return Hadar and Oron first. The solution of returning the sons is a distinct humanitarian matter and it must be anchored before all the international bodies promoting an aid agreement for Gaza."
