Iraq launched an air strike against an Islamic State terror movement target inside Syria on Thursday, according to a military statement cited by Reuters.
An F-16 fighter plane destroyed an area where members of group were operating. Islamic State, which once occupied a third of Iraq’s territory, has been largely defeated there, but still poses a threat along the Syrian border.
