Former United States Ambassador to Israel Dan Shapiro has used the words "beyond appalling" to describe Tuesday morning's mortar attack on Israeli communities next to Gaza.
Writing on Twitter, Shapiro continued, "It’s terrorism, pure and simple, as immoral as it gets. And: what possible benefit would it bring to Palestinians in Gaza? None."
