The BuddeComm research company has ranked Israel as second among 14 Middle East countries under BuddeComm's exclusive Telecoms Maturity Index (TMI), that analyses the broadband, mobile and fixed Line markets of a country as well as a range of economic parameters to rank it on a scale of 1 to 100 and compare it to its region.
With a score of 69, Israel ranked right behind top-ranking Bahrain (70). BuddeComm said, "Israel offers a very progressive telecoms sector with a smartphone penetration of around 75% and high household broadband connections."
