Jerusalem Mayor Nir Barkat will bring a budget of 4 million shekels to the Finance Committee and City Council for construction of a new public passage in the Nof Zion neighborhood.
Construction of the passage is required due to a difference of levels of more than 20 meters between the lower level of Hayim Reuven Kubarsky Street and the upper level of Mohammed Hamdan Rabii'a Street, the main street of the Jabel Mukaber neighborhood. The lower part of the passage will allow full access to kindergartens, the mikveh and synagogues. Also along the staircases and ramps are small gardens and wide entrance to existing and future public buildings, a residential complex and aplayground.
