On Sunday, starting at 7:00 am, a general strike will begin for 5,000 health professionals throughout the country, including physiotherapists, dietitians, speech therapists, occupational therapists, hygienists, genetic counselors and art and crafts therapists employed by the Ministry of Health, Clalit Health Services, Meuhedet Health Fund, Hadassah Hospital, Shaare Zedek Medical Center, mental health centers and other institutions.
The workers claim that there is a severe shortage of positions for employing workers in the paramedical sector, which causes them to be overloaded and impairs the quality of service.
