Member of Knesset Motti Yogev (Jewish Home) has rejected accusations of racism against the police stemming from Friday's quashing of a Gaza solidarity rally by Arabs and leftists in Haifa.
Writing on Twitter, Yogev explained, "As someone who was injured by severe police violence in the Amona incident, I say that there is certainly violence that should be investigated, but the Israel Police is not racist and it is dealing with very complex situations that sometimes require force to preserve public safety and order."
