MK Amir Peretz (Zionist Union) responded on Wednesday evening to the Cabinet's decision to amend the War Declaration Law so that the Cabinet will be the one authorized to declare war rather than only the prime minister and defense minister.
"The Cabinet's decision is the right one. I'm glad our criticism has done its job. The transfer of the decision to go to war to the Cabinet instead of the government is correct and proportionate, but passing the decision to a forum of only two people was wrong and irresponsible," Peretz said.
