MK Yoav Kisch wrote to US Ambassador to Israel David Friedman on Wednesday asking the US administration to recognize the Golan Heights as an area under Israeli sovereignty.
"In the days when Syria is falling apart and we are facing a period of geopolitical, national and military restructuring in the Middle East, the Israeli Golan Heights is the most stable thing there is," he wrote.
