6-minute limit for human response cleared for final readings

The Knesset Economics Committee approved on Tuesday, a bill by Committee Chairman Eitan Cabel, which states that the waiting period for a professional human response on the telephone will not exceed six minutes and will apply to all companies without exception.

If the final readings are approved in the Knesset plenum, the law will take effect in about nine months. Cabel said that "today it seems that the competition is who will give the worst service."
