The International Christian Embassy Jerusalem presented its new Cyrus Award to President Jimmy Morales of Guatemala last week, following the opening of the new Embassy of Guatemala in Jerusalem's Malha neighborhood.
The Christian Embassy established the award following the historic declaration of United States President Donald Trump to grant recognition to Jerusalem as Israel’s capital and to move the American embassy there. It will be presented to President Trump in the near future. The Cyrus Award is named after Cyrus the Great of the Persian Empire who charged the Jewish people to return to Jerusalem to rebuild the “house” of the “God of heaven”, as recorded in Second Chronicles 36:22-23 and Ezra 1:1-8, among other passages.
