The Minister of Public Safety and Strategic Affairs, Gilad Erdan, demanded on Sunday evening that a criminal investigation be opened against Member of Knesset Ayman Odeh (Joint List), following the documentation of the rude remarks he made about policemen who performed their duties during weekend demonstrations against Israel Defense Forces policy in Gaza.
Erdan said, "It is inconceivable that an incumbent Knesset member curses policemen and interferes with them in the course of their duty." He added, "It is time that Knesset members from the Joint List pay a price for their actions and their crude behavior."
