Defense Minister Avigdor Liberman attacked Chairman Ayman Odeh of the Joint List of predominantly Arab parties on Sunday, saying, "Every day Ayman Odeh and his associates go around freely and curse policemen is a failure of the law enforcement authorities." Writing on Twitter, Liberman added, "The place of these terrorists is not in the Knesset but in prison."
Odeh responded, "It's a pity that he did not tweet that within 48 hours I would be in prison - so I would know there was nothing to worry about." This hinted at Lieberman's threat that he would assassinate Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh within 48 hours - which was not realized.
