A passenger at one of the train stations in northern Israel on Thursday evening jumped onto the tracks for an unknown reason.
The driver of the train, who identified the incident from a distance, reacted quickly and activated the emergency braking procedure of the train so as not to collide with the passenger.
The station staff and a passenger waiting at the platform responded quickly, stopped the train traffic on the platform, and helped the passenger until the arrival of the Israel Police and Magen David Adom paramedics.
