Dan Shapiro, the former US ambassador to Israel, said in an interview with Army Radio that other countries would follow the United States and transfer their embassies to Jerusalem.
"If the Palestinians want an independent state, they will have to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of the Jews," Shapiro said, adding that if the administration had presented the decision broadly and clarify that the basis was two states for two peoples, it would have been a bit harder for the PA to break the decision.
