Former Gideon Sa'ar said on Sunday, "I back the government's moves to repel the Iranian presence in Syria," adding, "If Iran continues to be based in Syria, the Assad regime must be attacked."
Speaking during a tour of the Golan Heights as guest of Katzrin Mayor Dimi Apartzev, Saar also called on the government to set a goal of doubling the Jewish population on the Golan Heights within a few years, saying, "Such a huge area, with so much potential, needs to be much more populated than it is today."
