An independent disciplinary committee will be set up to hear complaints and allegations of inappropriate behavior by accountants, as well as with regard to irresponsibility or gross negligence of accountants, under an amendment to the Accountant's Law passed on Monday by the Knesset.
In addition, the committee will discuss the possibility of convicting accountants of offenses that by their nature, severity or circumstances deem accountants not worthy of being in the profession.
