The leftist Meretz faction voted Monday evening against the first reading of a bill to deduct the salaries the Palestinian Authority pays terrorists and their families from the funds Israel transfers from the PA.
Meretz was the only Jewish faction that voted against the bill, besides the Joint List of predominantly Arab parties. The measure received 55 votes in favor and now goes to committee for refinements before its final readings.
