Transportation Minister Yisrael Katz has signed and sent a new regulation to the Knesset Economics Committee, which eliminates the need to carry a driver's license and a vehicle license while driving.

Under the new regulation, a driver's license, identification or passport will suffice. According to Katz, the new regulation will save drivers from the need to issue double driving and vehicle licenses, and will assist the police in identifying drivers and enforcing traffic laws.
