By a vote of 86-10, the Knesset has approved the final readings of a bill by Member of Knesset Anat Berko (Likud) that would bar a person convicted of terror or other security offenses carrying a sentence of seven years from running for the Knesset for 14 years after the day of his or her release.

Berko said it may sound imaginary that a Knesset member would engage in security offenses, but it has happened.
