The official value of the shekel rose an average of .118 percent on Monday against most of the featured currencies on the Bank of Israel's foreign-exchange list.
The United States dollar was fixed at NIS 3.588, down a quarter of a percent from Friday, while the Euro declined .104 percent to 4.3387 shekels. Against the backdrop of government instability, the pound sterling was set at 4.9218, down 1.434 percent.
