Hungarian Ambassador to Israel Andor Nagy took part Monday morning in the opening of the exhibit "Judaism through Hungarian Eyes - Here and There" in the room of the Knesset Education, Culture and Sport Committee, commemorating the heritage of Hungarian Jewry. The exhibit presents the photographs of Zoltan Kluger, which documented the everyday life of the Hungarian community in the early days of the State of Israel, and the photographs of Bea Bar Kalush, which highlights the varied life of the Jewish community in Hungary today.
Dr. Nagy said that Hungary is a friend of the State of Israel and that the Hungarian prime minister has declared that he stands by the Jews and the State of Israel, and that Hungary is doing everything possible to eradicate anti-Semitism. He added, "I am proud to be an ambassador to Israel. Your country is beautiful, has a rich culture and it is never boring here."
