Health Ministry: Measles case on flight from India to Israel

Earlier this week, a patient with measles was reported to the Health Ministry in Tel Aviv. The patient arrived on Air India flight AI139 which took off from India at 16:30 and landed in Israel at 21:45 on April 12th.

If other passengers from that flight develop fever and/or rash, they are asked to inform the attending doctor of contact with a measles patient. Passengers belonging to one of the following groups: Infants under the age of 12 months, pregnant women, or persons with immunosuppressive disorders (such as cancer patients during chemotherapy, patients with high-dose corticosteroids, or AIDS patients) should make contact by telephone as soon as possible for consultation on the need for vaccination.
