Honduran president to consult on moving embassy to Jerusalem

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu spoke on the phone with Honduran President Juan Orlando Hernández on Saturday night, following the decision by the Honduran parliament to call on the government to move its embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem and Hernandez's decision not to attend the torchlighting ceremony on Mount Herzl, according to Channel 10 Television.

Hernández told Netanyahu that in the coming days he will hold discussions with Foreign Ministry officials and other professionals to decide whether to transfer the embassy to Jerusalem. Netanyahu told Hernández that he was sorry he would not attend the torchlighting ceremony and that he was a welcome guest at any time and was invited to visit Israel as soon as possible.
