Shas Party Chairman Aryeh Deri made it clear on Thursday that he is not afraid that his party will not pass the electoral threshold of four Knesset seats in the upcoming elections.

Interviewed by public radio, the interior minister said, "There is no other party that works so hard for the benefit of its public and, of course, for all of Israel, like Shas." He added, "They ask me why I am opposed to lowering the threshold, because we are scraping the [bottom of the] polls, I am calm, we know the area, and I estimate that we will bring in more than seven Knesset seats."
