The Israel Defense Forces Spokesperson has announced that the driver who ran into a hitchhiking station near the Gitai Evyashar Junction in the Ariel area tried to escape and was shot by an IDF force stationed at the point.
He was evacuated for medical treatment and later died of his wounds. The identity of the driver and the background of the incident are being examined.
