Energy Minister Yuval Steinitz gave testimony to police about two weeks ago, in their investigation of Case 3000, regarding allegations of improprieties in Israel's purchase of submarines from German company ThyssenKrupp.
Before he received the energy portfolio, Steinitz held the intelligence and strategic affairs portfolios. Before he became a minister, he chaired and served on a number of security-related Knesset committees, including the Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee.
