Firefighting and rescue teams from the Beit Shemesh stations were called on Tuesday afternoon to deal with the burning of heavy equipment in the train tunnel being built near Neve Ilan.
Firefighters took control of the fire, preventing damage to vehicles and other equipment. As a result of the fire, a worker was lightly injured and evacuated to hospital.
