Finance Minister Moshe Kahlon warned the Palestinian Authority on Sunday not to take unilateral steps that might ignite Gaza, according to News 2.
PA Minister for Civil Affairs Hussein Ash-Sheikh warned Moshe Kahlon in a telephone call that on April 1, the PA would stop paying salaries to tens of thousands of officials in Gaza. Their salary cuts will cause the Hamas-ruled area to sink into a humanitarian crisis. Kahlon made it clear to Ash-Sheikh that Israel would not agree that the internal war between the PA and Hamas would "explode on Israel."
