The state has informed the Supreme Court that it supports the position of the Chief Rabbinate and seeks to reject the petition filed by Haforum Hahiloni (the Secular Forum) which seeks to cancel the ban on the bringing of food products into hospitals in Israel during the Passover holiday.
The ban is intended to prevent the presence of leavened foods in hospitals during the Feast of Unleavened Bread.
