Chairman Yossi Havilio of "Saving Jerusalem" and a candidate for mayor, has responded to incumbent Nir Barkat not seeking another term by saying, "Nir Barkat has not long been interested in Jerusalem for a while, and today we just received official confirmation of what we all have known for a while."
Havilio continued, "Barkat pushed Jerusalem down, but he did not do it alone, rather together with [Moshe] Lion, [Ofer] Berkowitz and others who were there at his side all the time. Now it's time for other leadership, someone who managed to stop some of Barkat's damage and who, as mayor, will work for the residents, not for political interests of one kind or another."
