Major General Herzl Levi, Chief of Military Intelligence, said on Sunday "Israel maintains a very high capability on the northern front, but Israel has no offensive intentions against the Lebanese state."
Speaking about tensions on Israel's northern border at the Yediot Ahronot conference, Levi added, "Iran is sending a Shiite arrow that is impaling the Middle East, so involving the powers is not only an Israeli interest, but one of the entire Middle East." Regarding Israel's intelligence capabilities in light of various threats, he said, "In the age of information and knowledge, those who obtain more information in real time will win. Fortunately, the IDF is very strong in these areas."
