Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Bahram Qassemi protested US sanctions imposed on 10 Iranian citizens and a tech firm accused of cyberattacks on hundreds of universities across the globe.
In a statement, Qassemi said, "The US will definitely not benefit from the sanctions gimmick, aimed at stopping or preventing the scientific growth of the Iranian people."
