French media are reporting that the gunman who held hostages and shot two at a supermarket in southern France demanded the release of Salah Abdeslam, one of the Islamic State terrorists who carried out the attack in Paris in 2015.
It was also reported that the armed man, of Moroccan origin, is known to local authorities.
