Nabil Abu-Rudeina, the official spokesman of Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas, is threatening to increase violence against Israel in an attempt to thwart the United States plan to renew contacts between Israel and the PA.
The PA's Wafa news agency reported that Abu Rudeina added that "all conspiracies aimed at eliminating the Palestinian problem will collapse because of the steadfastness of the Palestinian people and its adherence to its basic principles and legitimate rights. Our path is clear and permanent and it is behind Abu Mazen's historic leadership, in order to oppose all the suspicious plans." He said the as-yet-unveiled political solution is dubious and will not meet the aspirations of the Palestinians.
