Starting tonight, Israeli public television's evening news will broadcast a series of reports entitled "The Silent Killer", a look at infection in hospitals.
The series documents reuse of disposable equipment, multiple bacteria due to lack of resources and cleaning workers, a shortage of medicines due to economic interests - just some of the reasons for infection that spreads in isolation rooms and wards. It will expose the health system's helplessness and serious data showing an increase in mortality due to infections in the hospitals.
