Commander Shimon Elkabetz of Israel Defense Forces Radio has told the haredi news website Kikar Hashabbat "staff work at the station is being done to minimize the desecration of the Sabbath to the lowest possible level."
Sources at the military station explained that this is not a matter of Sabbath observance at the military station, but only of minimizing desecration of the Sabbath as much as possible.
