Minister of Justice Ayelet Shaked and Chief Justice Esther Hayut have agreed on a series of administrative issues that would shift certain types of cases from the Supreme Court to the administrative courts, in an attempt to reduce the burden of the files imposed on the High Court by about 30%, according to Israel public radio.
Among the issues that will be transferred to the administrative courts are all the matters of the Population Administration, administrative decisions made under the Law of Return, decisions regarding the granting of athlete status in the army and decisions regarding the Nature and National Parks Authority.
