Deputy Health Minister and Chairman of the haredi-religious United Torah Judaism Party, Yaakov Litzman slammed his partners in the coalition on Thursday, saying they had some nerve, according to News 2.
Interviewed by Israel Defense Forces Radio about haredi parties and the legislation they are demanding regarding the military draft for yeshiva student, he said, "The demand to pass the bill in three readings remained the same. As of this moment there is no [alternate] proposal on the table." Litzman added, "There is a decision by the Council of Torah Sages and there are clear instructions on what to do, until the last rabbinical ruling. Regarding criticism of that approach, he said, "I respect the rabbis, I do not interfere with them [the critics -ed.}, so they should not interfere with what the rabbis tell me."
