The Ministry of Health received positive results yesterday in testing for rabies of jackals in the Emek Hamayanot Regional Council and the Jezreel Valley Regional Council.
The Ministry requests that anyone who has been in contact with the infected animal or a stray in the or whose animals may have come into contact to urgently contact the nearest health office to consider the need for preventive treatment.
