Chairwoman Shuli Moalem Refaeli of the Jewish Home Knesset faction told Arutz 7 on Monday "We are doing a great deal of work in order to finish the budget discussions by Wednesday and allow us to vote on it next week." Regarding calls by haredi-religious parties for an amendment to the law on the military draft, she continued, "At the same time, as we attach great importance to both Torah study and military service, it is clear to us that there must be a solution that will balance between the need to introduce a law that will enable recruitment without coercion and without criminal sanctions on the one hand and without missing [the induction of] those who do not learn, on the other hand."
Asked whether the party is ready for possible elections, she replied, "We in the Jewish Home are ready for elections, but we ask ourselves whether this is what is right for the State of Israel and for the people of Israel," calling the current government excellent.
